100 Degree Shiver

Texas heat dry inhaled and
breathed deeper than the heart
Here I chat
Feeling a rise in my pulse
When I see your name
Do you know my heart beat is atop my keystrokes?
Do you feel the charge between the screens across the World Wide Web?
I gasp, and type
I smile, and shiver
I feel, and I know what makes a vein throb
A shower my only salvation
I slide in cold water cascading down
wet fingers in my hair on my face in my beard
on my neck following the spine and down
my stomach
My sit-up and diet are not in vain
Steam fills my ears and I look down, panting
The cold did nothing to my heat
I whisper your name, and handle my feelings
for you
A stroke and a shiver
My lower lip trembles as I imagine the shape
your words made.
I fear being ugly or (worse) homely against your
smile your twinkling eyes, your beauty
You make me rise
My stomach flexes
I feel the vein in my hand
fingers of water slip in my mouth
cold on my tongue hot inside me

Boiling
My pulse frenzied strokes rapid
Skin alive goose bumps and the ungodly
sound echo over the drain
and the splashing and the rustling
of the curtain
A beat, a cry and your real name, the one
you whispered so quietly, flies off my lips as
my orgasm slaps the energy out of my
knees and through every pore of skin
open to the water strolling atop me and
down along my feet and away

Will my heat be recycled?
Could it ever reach you?
Bathe in the ocean
Skinny dip in the lake
Drink bottled water from Texas
Maybe it’s me pouring past your lips
Over your skin
Touching you
as you touch me
… and I shiver in 100 degrees

I really like this!

I would maybe rework some places where the images need sharpened (PM me and I'll give further feedback there) but I love much of it including "My lower lip trembles as I imagine the shape

your words made" mmmmm! Lovely. Thank you. This poem was mentioned in New Poems Reviews.
