Non-Erotic Poetry11/08 - Someone elseIt shouldn't be okay
to treat every woman
as if she were your long lost mother
who used to beat you
with the kitchen spatula
and lock you in the cupboard
under the stairs. We are
not all like that, sometimes
we simply want someone else
to make the decisions,
to say 'Yes!' to the everyday
demands of children and spouse,
work and random evening phone surveys.
