Three hundred days.
Smiles that spread from my chest
to the tips of my fingers,
glances
that tickled the back of my neck
from across a room,
heart-pounding silences
and stressful anticipations.
Only our opinions mattered;
better judgments ignored
in the wake
of fear-killing kisses,
the colours of emotion
were once more vibrant.
Three hundred days
that ended
thirty days ago.

Time was.

Thirty days and counting ~ since the end of a love affair. Poignant mood and quite rightly so.
