Cooler now,
Not much but some,
I didn’t see the change.
The nights are darker,
Days are shorter
A chill is in the air.

Leaves of red,
And yellow and gold
Litter our gardens.
Bonfire smoke
Lazily reaches up
Crackling into the night.

Hot stew
Greets us from our day.
Warm and inviting.
Jumpers and jackets
Thick socks
Kiss the summer goodbye.

Lovely ~ now if we could just go from 3 months of autumn to 3 months of spring...
