9-11-01

byDusty Farkworth©

The sights, the faces,

the events, the places.

A Nation of people,

whom some want to cripple.

Mothers cry,

for those who’ve died.

Rescuers move in,

Some get pinned.

We watched in awe,

as others saw,

what was happening.

We share their grief,

and pray for relief.

As our Nation reels,

and slowly heals.

This horrid act,

causes us to react.
In ways that we,

could not for see.

We pray to God above,

for strength and love.

And that we may be,

a Nation free.

Standing tall and bright,

in freedoms light.

For peace and love,

from heaven above.

We’ll never forget this day,

as those who lay,

at heavens gate.

We watch.

We wait.
