Across the wide world
into just such a moment
where, eyes closed
(to better become imaginary):
music, almost from within.

The heart sings
sightless, clinging
over such careful distance,
a spinning much faster than it seems;
a perpetual curving constant.
The infinite glittering stars
shared only eventually.

This symphony of words
through which dream and time,
wish and memory,
so gently becomes
a slow and unconscious
overture of rain.

In quiet defiance
of the same common sense
which tells you the earth is flat.

This shows promise.

You have some interesting images and diction here and a good ending. Why don't you come write with us on the forum a bit?
