Ever since an early age,
She's been trapped
Locked away, in a cage

Only few people know
The horrors she must endure
So a group of sick men, can enjoy a show

They take her out, when they've had too much to drink
She's held down, beaten and raped
Till she's in so much pain, she can barely think

For hours at a time, they make her bleed
And its only when they can go no longer
That she can get off her knees

She learned long ago, not to scream
Because the neighbors heard it
And her punishment was extreme

In the darkness, she thinks of better days
Before this all started, when her mother was alive
But most of those memories, are in a sort of haze

But now there's a roof over her head
And despite the pain
At least she's well fed

When her mother passed, she was left on the street
She wandered for days, until she met a man
In her defense, at first, he seemed so sweet

He claimed to be the local Pastor
And offered her a place to stay
But now, she's forced to call them all "Master"

They make her ask for forgiveness
And says whats to come, is due to her
The daughter of an adulteress

She's doomed to this life
Born out of wedlock, because honestly,
Who would make a whore a wife?

Nobody would suspect, a preacher in the deep south
But, she knows what he really is
And what he lets them force, into her mouth

There's a lesson to be learned
The men we look up to in life,
After death, will surely burn

So, of all strangers be wary
Or you could meet a fate
Just as scary
