Tears fall in silent tracks
Trailing their way down
Tears I shed for one unloved
Tears shared by many

A tiny spark of life burning
Was quenched by uncaring
An inconvenience to their life
That tiny miracle became

Not for all comes that right
To bear the joy of life
So many want and cannot have
While others toss away

My soul cries out in horror
'God, how can this be?
Why would you give this chance
To them and not to another?'

Yet I know that even here
God must have a plan
But why must the innocent
Always be the one to pay?

Not for me to question
Not for me to judge
For me there is but grieving
For the fear and pain suffered

God take this soul to heaven
And give it angel wings
For it live a life full
In the short time you did give

Let it know what it did not here
The love and joy untold
Let it be at peace there
And never again know fear.
