call it anxiety or call it apprehension
the way it suddenly hammers me
this heartbroken realization that
somehow i have managed to fail
then add some gaucherie to the pile
and now toss in a bare bone or two
of flailed flesh and while youre at it
how about a lethal dose of artful neglect…
wow thats a recipe for disaster isnt it.
well call it what you want to call it
because tonight it doesnt matter
and it no longer seems that i care
i mean after all (hello hello)
why is there an echo in here
it isnt as if you cant hear me
or is it more because we are selfish
by nature that we just dont hear
or maybe listening really is in the ear
and has nothing to do with the heart
or is the obvious truth just
too hollow to swallow anyway
and am i really all alone in here.
