The darkness comes in
  even through the light
It shines upon your soul

I look at you
  in my mind
No longer, are you whole

We once we close
  in our arms
Entwined as lovers do

But now its dark
  and stormy out
I don't think we'll see it through

In the darkness we once did love
  each and every night
But now its gone, now its gone

We mated oft soft and quiet
  and sometimes loud and hot
So now I only sing your song

The doorway is dark.
The doorway is cold.
You won't come back,
and I'll grow old.
