i hate the way
you treat me
sometimes
like a princess

it's uncomfortable
i don't want to learn
to depend on you

what if you leave?

either way
i'll eat the ice cream before it melts

A familiar enough scene — every teen's cheap date.

The princess and the ice cream

Admittedly more of a "Dairy Maid" fan dreamer myself, I feel that ice cream parlors are perfectly legit places for first, perhaps even second dates!

It could not reflect too badly on the guy (that is if he suggested the place), and I have seen worse sins than being treated like a princess (or a prince). But FOR NOW, there is one good ice cream at hand to be taken care of. You could keep on percolating over your regal status later; no good fantasy should be allowed to melt away!
