A Dream Shared

Black dark heart of night
Silent whispers deers take flight
The owl hunts and rabbits flee in its wake
The water is still and silent in the lake

Its late when we get to the park
Everyones else is asleep and our cabins Dark
Holding her hadn we open the door
Step inside and drop our bags on the floor

I hunt around in the deep dark night
Then I find it the Camping light
I light a fire to give us heat
We are both dog tired and dead beat

What time is it? we dont know
We lose track of time taking it slow
There she stands on the porch under the moonlight
My heart skips a beat what a beautiful sight

I pull her close this baby of mine
As together we smell the summer breeze and the Mountain pine
As we sit on the porch in the deep of night
I put my arms around her and Hug her tight

Down by the lake we see a fawn
The hear the birds singing as thye announce its dawn
In that moment we share, two become one
As we watch the rising of the morning sun

Holding her close to me as we watch the sunrise
I see the joy and wonder in those beautiful eyes
As she looks in my baby blue eyes and our lips meet
My heart jumps for joy and misses a beat

A moment shared is a moment to cherish
kept in your heart and thoughts so it doesnt perish
And in that moment you thank the lord above
For its then you realise your deeply in love

With a kiss and a smile a little love you send
you hold tight to the moment praying it will never end
But you know wherever you are together or apart
Youll always be together through the love in your heart

Together you sat and held each other all through the night
Together in the dawn you witnessed an awesome sight
As the sun rises and the sky burns bright red
Hand in hand you go smiling leading each other to bed

Time may come and time may go
but nothing will spoil this moment of that you know
you came you loved and your heart you bared
And in joy and happiness a dream you shared
