A Father's Tale

Do not cry for me
I was at your birth, remember
For in my heart, you'll forever be

To my heart, you hold the key
The only one who does
Do not cry for me

Though I no longer see
I still look over and protect
For in my heart, you'll forever be

I sing to you a melody
My only daughter
Do not cry for me

I was there for every skinned knee
But now I can only watch
For in my heart, you'll forever be

My daughter, my life
If only I could have stayed
Do not cry for me
For in my heart, you'll forever be

You have a lovely way, with simple true words, to convey big real feelings.

Heartfelt

The feeling and sincerity come across with great clarity.

Thank you.
