I get tired of it all
Having to play the games
"Smile more" "Stand here" "DO that"
"Dress this way" "Act like this"

How many masks
How many times
Will I do this?
I have stopped

And it has been both
To my detriment
And to my strength, of character and soul

I know who I am
Almost to my core
But at my core
I am still split into facets

Like a blood red gem
Pulsating with life
I am a fractured person
The more I come together
The closer I get to being myself

The more distant others become
And the closer those souls become
That create chaos in me
To my utter delight
