In the vacuous darkness,
I waited for you to arrive.
Wrapped in the freezing stillness
Longing to find you, my light

I witnessed the exodus of the day
The moment you said goodbye to me.
My world abruptly turned to gray,
A starless night filled with melancholy.

To the moon I shouted and cried.
Seeming a madman who lost his only child.
I blamed myself for needing you
As my tears fell down like morning dew.

The moon symphatized and said to me,
"My child, it's her choice not to stay."
She radiated her gentle smile and continued to say,
"If you want to be truly happy
You have to set her free,
Though the hurt and the pain will not disappear easily.
Do not dwell in the haunting shadows of the past.
Do not keep a love that will never last."

I looked at the moon still with tearful eyes.
Then all the emotions I suppressed inside
Burst like hot lavas that cradled me in fright.
"My grief will be over soon," I whispered to the night.

I fell on the soft bosom of the grassy earth
And let Hypnos sprinkle his golden dust of sleep.
It's neither a choice between to dream asleep
Nor to dream wide awake.
Because asleep or awake, it is but dreaming.
A dream is just a dream unless i dare to make it happen.

I was awakened by the hot kisses of the sun's ray.
Then I opened my swollen eyes gingerly.
Morning has come, a brand new day
To start fresh and cast my sorrows away.

I gazed in awe at the sun beaming its brightest smile.
A glimpse of hope flickered in my thought for awhile.
Today is a chance to find the true love that will forever be mine.
Last night is but a memory fading vaguely in the crevices of my mind.
