Each breath rises in the pit of her eyes
Each look burns in the back of her heart
She knows the price of dissatisfaction
And the coming of a pain to fulfill pleasure's part

She loves torment and roses alike
She fears what may come if she fails to behave
For she lives to please who she is told
This is the role of her life, a life as a slave

She lives for the world in his eyes
The simple thoughts they express
Bound by chains of metal and pride
Her only hope lies in defiance's success

But every time she fights her silent war
Her master is brought delight in its view
For he enjoys the fear that will decide the war
Her fear that in painful ecstasy, her soul will subdue
