Into our sunshine a looming thunder cloud
tattoos with piercing rain that shrieks
to where a lightning strike has ploughed.

Crouching hidden animal beyond the peaks
steals downwards to it's prey beneath
tattoos with piercing rain that shrieks.

To bring it's menace claws unsheath
dragged to my knees and cannot rise
steals downwards to it's prey beneath.

Each ragged breath to death's disguise
a love that begs me cling onto this life
dragged to my knees and cannot rise.

Rage against all that fells me like a knife
spirit and a loving heart undefeated
a love that begs me cling onto this life

Struck, a soul has swayed and teetered,
into our sunshine a looming thunder cloud,
spirit and a loving heart undefeated
where a lightning strike has ploughed.
