A bomber crawls into a moonless night.
All is well, all is right
Bombs fill bays, all snug and tight
All is well, all is right

Thousands cower in the night
too scared to move, too weak to fight
they try to sleep, no planes in sight
too scared to sleep, too weak to fight

Bomb doors open in mid-flight
all is well, all is right
and hell filled bombs fall out of sight
all is well, all is right

filled with horror, filled with fright
too scared to move, too weak to fight
They vanish in a flash of light
too scared to move, too weak to fight

The bomber turns and heads back home
as thousands die and thousands groan
The wheels touch down to raucous cheers
for the wake they’ve left of pain and tears
