Hey don't you look down on me old man
with your sprays, netting and outright ban
I've got far more in an insect's life
Than you as a mere mortal ever can.

I fly through the air to take me a wife
Don't hang around for trouble or strife
Was her that bit you not me you know
No treating me now like I was lowlife.

Once I've fulfilled my role I go
No time to play the courtly beaux
I have quite a small attention span
What happens next not sure I know.

delightful!

reminds me of my cricket poem. You sure have blossomed in your writing, UYS and I have enjoyed watching you grow.

Very cute and funny!

You made the form work for you and packed a lot of info about that buzzy little pest into your few, well-chosen words. Nice work, A. xo, S.
