When I was just
a little grrl,
I wore Kermit
on my t-shirts
and Barbie's face
plastered to the
scuffed and well worn
ass of my jeans.
(somehow still seems
appropriate)
I loved Momma
and Daddy and
God and lived for
Milky Way Bars.
The perfect treat,
that perfect mix;
caramel wrapped
in chocolate.
With you, I've come
to know a new
aesthetic. Like
art, confection
mirrors life, if
imperfectly.
For when I part
the cheeks of your
dusky golden
ass, I taste
the truest and best
semi-sweetness.
