New York, New York
out an Airbus window
Lincoln Tunnel
jammed, I know,
Grab my bag
towards your place
hoping to see
your smiling face …

I’ve been traveling
a month, or three
around the world
what did I see?
What did I do
who did I know
on Skype we talked
but without the flow …

So now I’m here
just for a bit
curious
if our pieces fit,
Like they did
in a previous setting
I hope they do
but I’m not betting …
