Only the sound of the water existed
and my breathless cries to never stop
you drove me beyond all knowing
each thrust deep in me
your breath hot on my throat.

You knew when to give me more
when I needed more
you made me take it there on the floor
with the wood crackling in the stove
the water moving
and just the two of us moving alone.

It was a night I'll never forget
peace mixing with hot need
in the small cabin - I want that again
there, so far away,
your body over mine.
