There is a place that lives within,
a place for only one.
Where essence brings the spark to life,
and dreams of love are spun.

I thought I touched that place in you,
and softly found your heart,
but maybe timings just aren’t right,
my horse has lost its cart.

To feel and join within this dream,
some things we put away,
allowed this soul to touch its mate,
transformed the night to day.

What I brought to share with you,
sheer words cannot express,
just look within these eyes of mine,
forever lies confessed.

Gentle words across a page,
red ribbons in the snow,
like tiny cuts across a wrist,
they’re bleeding now, you know.

Peaceful.

I'm confessing I love you ~ forever. Let me share my life with you. Lovely sentimental rendering. Very endearing!

liked everything but....

the line about the horse and the cart. Too corny for an otherwise very good poem!

~~

A bit dark, it sounds,

the way the end sneaks up...
