I dream of a particular landscape
Low thunder rumbling far in the north
The sky so dark with desire to pour
And lick the dry soil of the cliffs back to life.
Deep valleys surrounded by boulders and rocks
Engraved with glistening stream beds,
A brook at the centre that braids into rills
With contours of simmering sinewy dunes
Embracing the rippling rushes of water
That nourish a delta, where proudly it stands
The shrine for Apollo, who watches the lands.
