Warmth engulfs my body
Neath the vast sky
Luminous and balmy
At peace I lie

Smell of autumn in the air
A beautiful painting of hues
To tell of my secret lair
Remain mine, seclude

Atop this swinging bench
A foot sways me to sleep
Feeling the pull, a trench
My bones now a heap

A dream that feels true
Your face unseen
Needing the embrace of you
Caught in between

As I wake from slumber
Loss upon my heart
To meet again my lover
All but a dream apart

5 ed, but

this line "...Feeling the pull, a trench..." bothers me.
