A smile lingers on your lips
even as you sleep

those lips
I kissed and kissed and kissed
let me kiss them now

but you sleep on
while I cannot

I cannot quiet
the tempest of desire
boiling inside
I cannot
I want not
I dare not

Shine those jewels
hidden by heavy lids
let me see them again
to melt me like chocolate

I steal a kiss off your sunken cheek
while my fingertip grazes a delicate nipple
Sinking into your milky breasts
my mouth falls open

Afraid to wake you
but anxious to feel you again
I can't hold back

Morning sun is freshening the room
Wake you dammit I plead
In vain
Be my man again I plead
and plead
and plead

A smile lingers
even as you sleep
