The heart can see through these eyes of mine.
It drinks beauty into me like a fine wine.
If I seal these eyes shut will that keep beauty out.
Something tell's me it would find it's way in without a doubt.

So how do I keep beauty away from my heart.
I am ready and willing to play my part.
Let go of me I wish to see no more.
It hurts too much my soul is tore.

Wide open and bleeding the pain never ends.
Beauty keeps coming with all that it sends.
Could I destroy beauty would I even try.
No I would not as I let out a painful sigh.
