A Special Place
Getting' low on money, low on time,
Tired of lookin' at an uphill climb,
Sick of spendin' a dollar, getting' paid a dime,
Nothin' to show, but a heavy mind,
When my back is achin' with a heavy load,
And all I see is a long, hard, road,
My mind starts thinkin' 'bout a special place,
I rest my load, and slow my pace,
Forget about owin' and time and waste,
Where I don't have to run a race,
And I'll be there before sundown,
I'll be there before sundown.
Don't need a ticket to my special place,
I'll just ride a smile on my true love's face,
Or touch a lock of her soft, soft hair,
Or look in her eyes, and I'll be there,
Cause she's the special place I'm thinkin' of,
Where the only price I pay is love,
And I'll be there before sundown,
I'll be there before sundown.
