Yesterday was warm
the grass is quite green,
and cherry blossoms are flowering
in brilliant pinks and whites

but this dawn the skies are gray
and the wind packs a bite;
I meant to go for a walk
but my skin and muscles complain

the cold wind blows again
through the cherry blossoms
and over the daffodils
