Remember the day that we said hello.
Sun pouring down upon our heated skin.
Your hair danced before your glittering eyes.
The sweet melody of summer flew by,
Wrapping its warm arms around our bodies.
We were alone in the crowd, you and I.
My heart was pierced with one shot from your bow,
Crippled by love I found no words to aide.
No breath to pass my lips. Oh, sweet surprise!
Whisper your name. Teach me to speak again.
The voice of a siren. A new victim.
Together we stood, shadow’s now as one.
A hand extended. A touch to kindle,
The embers of hope in my waiting chest.
Hold close that day of life starting over.
Fear not lost thoughts for it remembers you.
