I hand you a virgin
a porcelain doll
in the shape of my life
I love you

It is curved to
match your heart
I painted it red
for passion

Did you care?
I don't know
but I wish I did
and I wish you'd cared

did you know you had it
when you dropped it from your hands

did you even see it fall
when it smashed on the ground

I lay among the shards of pottery
their sharp edges cut my back

the wounds, all your masterpiece

I am on the easle and pain is on your palette

You were cruel, you are cruel
you don't know, you'll never know

Do you even remember me now?
Was I even in you to remember?

I didn't know people could be
as heartless as you
