The beach is quiet compared to it's surroundings.
Seagulls and terns unworried by our fears go about their day.
Stones some as large as houses shape the view and feed imagination.
While others tumble in the tide ever changing it.
Pools of water left behind.
Creating smaller versions of the seas.
A sudden spray as a wave crashes into the stone.
Why don't they go around.
Or will they prevail.
Sand invites a pebble pen to leave a message and the sea dutifully delivers.
The horizon far in the distance.
Held in place.
A background to the mirages bouncing lazily on the water.
Thoughts brought to mind have time to spend.
Not hurried along.
A sense of belonging brings a laugh.
There's nothing here I resemble.Yet I'm welcomed.
Am I looking or being looked at.
And what is seen.
