One hand round the waist,
He will lift the other hand
High into the air;
She resists half-turned,
And runs her arm back, her hand
Open in a plea,
An unspoken wish,
A gesture of self-defence,
Before she gives in,
Surrendering the faint hope,
That he may refrain,
Having first ensured,
That she is so well-controlled
and immobilised;
She feels the entire
Punishment may be rendered
Unnecessary,
But, he is on hand
To put her right in respect
Of the error made
In assuming that
There will be leniency
When he's so hands-on;
If she's on his lap
Or bent tight under his arm,
She knows her desserts
And they are surely,
As essential to him as
Her abandonment.
