About bush weddings 680620

By JCSTREET © 2004

I read your book Catherine
Parr Traill of boozing bush
weddings, miscegenists, Iacqueys,
profligates, prodigal sons hitting
the bottle in the outback hard
core pornography this but you
cloaked the times in your
gentility and dried a thousand
seeds with your perfumed
handkerchief. I see them all
locked in an obscene barn with
only arms, legs and various pieces of
flesh sticking out shrouded from
our sight come on Catherine;
We want to know!

June 20, 1968 Montreal

Catherine Parr Traill – Scottish diarist and gentlewoman who emigrated from Scotland to Canada in the 19th century and wrote a series of settlers’ guides and other books—a sort of pioneer Martha Stewart without the smarminess.

Inquisitive.

A lovely Tribute ~ for Catherine Parr Traill – Scottish diarist and gentlewoman. Martha Stewart's no Catherine Traill.

And when you read her, remember this;

It was before Internet, computers, IPods, DVDs, CDs, television, radio, cassette tapes, trucks and automobiles, and more;

So what do you think they did on those long, cold, lonely nights?
