Tonight,
the room is too large
and the silence
deafening
as scratchy sheets and bedding
avalanche around me,
suffocating,
while my frigid extremities
      poke out,
awkward angles
and serpentine twists
as I clench my eyes
shut.

Tight. Tighter.

Splashes of infrared sparks
accost my eyes
as I fail
to drown out
this internal roar;
the gaping darkness
that taunts
from within,
as I try not to slip.

Again.

Growl ~!!

I like this one. A lotta feeling here !! You paint with a vibrant brush, telling us more and more, why one should just strap'm down and have our way ~~ Love your picture and hoping you catch a good nights romp ... soon ~
