I loved you, once,
with all of me...
every 'i' and 't',
dotted and crossed
by swelling love
for you.

Where is it now,
that love
that ate my soul,
that broke my heart?
It's gone,
like mist in sunshine.

I miss the love
I had for you.
It was my Muse,
my heart and soul.
Now — broken — only
absence remains.

Deep, Sad, and True

Sometimes just a few words can be very deep. Sad, but lovely.

Very good -

If only it didn't have to be that way so often.

Clear, simple and subtle

Clear, simple and subtle.

I really like it.

P.S. Calling it simple is a compliment not a put down.
