You are my drug of choice, she once declared
And turned away to show off: she deploys
Insouciant smiles that compliment her poise,
Until she is assured the drug is shared:
Returned to sender with verve and elan,
Empowering allusions to reflect
A loving need, that can only infect
Her target with her ailment; such a plan
Takes her to where she really needs to be,
Via many a diversion, though the course
Will be precisely steered, so they rejoice
In pleasures that cement their company,
Bound so tightly together, who could force
Them not to taste the drug that was her choice.
