The fire within,
Once so new,
Now gone,
Put out,
I have lost you.
Sad is my heart,
For a time held by few.
Closed doors now stand,
Between me and you.
We had the chance,
For a moment we tried.
I took my stance,
Neither of us lied.

I knock on the gate.
