Why are the hills blue?
Sitting behind the green fields
And the darker trees.
Why are the hills blue?
It makes no sense to me.
Is it for the same reason
That the sky is blue, too?
And will distance add a misty shade of blue
To you?
Why are the hills blue?
The question fills my mind
And follows me, away from you
As I leave the hills behind.
