ATHENS (Patision Avenue)
Sunday Morning

AFTER-CHRISTMAS FROST

The after-Christmas frost
is chilling to the bones,
counting what we've lost,
we miss its undertones.

refrain
For nights in a row
I thought about you,
you are too young to know
what makes us passing trough.

Those undertones come fourth,
they will not let us sleep,
whatever was our worth,
other lost souls may skip.

refrain (the same)

Only the cold remains,
cracking unwilling smiles,
in desolate terrains
this avenue beguiles.

refrain (the same)

It is all part of living
a life of some sorts,
without a single misgiving
depart for distant ports.

refrain (the same)

To meet new hopeless chances,
new pimps, trading new whores,
to fake new cute romances,
to swim in new sand shores.

refrain (the same)

I don't complain for losses,
but still I've got complains,
this filth endures all washes
by cleansing winter rains.

refrain (the same)
For nights in a row
I thought about you,
you are too young to know
what makes us passing trough.

PER FINIRE

I may hate you,
but others may whack you,
I still love you,
but still don't want to fuck you.
