thunder
lightning wind & rain
reflecting all the anger
& the pain .inside me a
violent storm engulfed
my soul, relentlessly
shattering my heart
I’m tossed in to an ocean
Of memories & regret
Of times I wish I could
Forget.. I feel I’m drowning in
My sorrow , desperate for a
Better tomorrow.. The storm has
passed & I survived. Calm seas, clear
view..finally able to see the real you
u forced me to accept the truth
no denying no more lying, I realize
I wasted my time trying to be your
Friend, but in the end u did me a
Favor. I was weak of mind & strength
too hooked on you to walk away but I’ll
be damned if you catch me begging you
to stay.. after the storm has beat me
to the ground, I rise above this foolish
game, stronger & wiser than before
steady swimming for the shore
I’m all woman & I gave my all to be with
You & I will give my all into forgetting you
Despite your goodbye so cold & bitter
I must admit that my life is better with
Out you there & it feels great to no longer
Care about you..in a sense you set me free
Cuz I was a willing captive not smart enough
To flee from your cruel intentions. But that’s
All behind me I’m not going to dwell on those
Crazy days when I was under your spell
But before I close this chapter in my life
I just want to tell you that I wish you well..
