I know we add up to over a hundred;
that I am the snowy side of grey and you are
artfully dyed;
that we both have more handles than
love can comfortably manage;
that some of love’s lexicon
is now Greek to us: but
don’t you, like I,
sometimes want to
get a room?

Beautiful!

You nailed aging between lovers right on its head. I love this very much

I adore this poem!

Good one fridayam! I am not technically an old fart yet (38) but I can relate cause my body is pretty much as clapped out as a sixty year old. This is a darling poem. It's getting a recommend.

I know just where you are coming from! Oh for the days before life got in the way and we had only one thing on our minds!

Very sweet. Poet Guy can relate,

though when he and Poet Gal "get a room," it is usually to just get out of the house and watch a big flat-screen telly.
