She tossed another Barbie into my life and face. They come at me spinning. I've got on shades and rags; down on my knees with a tin cup. Holding up a cardboard sign. She ain't never seen the lights of the road. Bitch had planes and hover cars. She never had to feel summer asphalt on tender foot pads. Compiled moments, crashes something down and bruises something else. The taste of sweet droplets of honeysuckle. The plumpness of blackberries. The soothing cool of dew laced grass. Our frayed shorts mid-thigh high.
