Thank you for waking me
From such a long slumber
It was so deep that I barely heard you.

Did you sound
Because I needed you?
Or did you sound merely because you can?

You pierced my soul with such an urgent alarm
Only to impart
That I woke too soon, and am too restless?

My conscience was kinder to me when I slept
Allowing the bliss of ignorance and imagination
To toy with my dream to Feel.

You did your part
The waking, I mean.
Can someone please hit Snooze?

One should always be careful what they wish for. Dreams have a way of happening and nothing can be put back to bed, thereafter.

Very well done; can be read as either literal or metaphorical. It's up to the reader to provide his own interpretation.
