the nimble sparrows
hop, chirp, peck and congregate
whatever headlines

aching head and joints
lurching walk and lurching talk,
the mind perserveres

peaceable Rasputin
was greatly feared by those saints
who loved the world war

sanity appears
like madness when the world's
checked into Bedlam

dancing to the chords
of brilliant Elliott Smith
who died a Roman

pinching green gold in
to the vaporizer to
mellow out the pain

out of anarchy
comes order through work and study,
trial and error
