Based on the painting "Blue Dancers" by Edgar Degas
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alive
Blue lace
Flowing skirts
Expressionless.
Dramatics postures
Smooth grace
Passionless.
Preserved in paint
Caged on canvas
Dancers are breathtakingly
Beautiful,
Yet stunningly
Sad.
Frozen, but freed
From moving,
From feeling,
From choosing,
From living.
And still they dance
Their endless ballet,
They are alive,
But they cannot live.
Nice
I would have like it better without the last two lines but I like your view of the painting.
