I’m dying inside
Trying too hard not to show you
I’ve created new a mask
Just for spending time with you

It eats at my soul
The way you treat me
Like yesterday’s rolled up newspaper
Teaching obedience to a dog

Why do I love you?
I tried to walk away
But the tears only rolled harder
Once I was alone

Teach me to hurt you
The way you hurt me
Maybe I will understand then
The power you feel

I keep hoping you’ll find
The love inside you
Growing from the seed
Of my hopes and dreams

Why do I love you?
I tried to walk away
But the tears only rolled harder
Once I was alone

Call me pathetically naïve
And I will agree
I have no fight left in me
To hold to my own opinion

You’ve dug me a chasm
I can’t seem to crawl out of
Just please don’t leave me here
All alone

Someone.

A sweet lady in dire need of will power to move on ~ to someone who will whisper 'I love you' and mean it.

The "bad boys'" power revealed here;

You try and can't change 'em and they know the power of their hold.
