ALL-DRUNK 3-ORION

The time was passing, light was getting near,
A disagreement sprang about Orion,
Not visible this time of the year,
And by the way, I hid her, I'm a lion.

"Come out of the taverna then", I said,
"And let me show to you the morning sky,
Orion invisible and dead,
And if you cannot see don’t ask me why?"

I took her by the hand, we stood so near,
That I suppose she must have felt electric,
I for my part, without hope or fear,
Made my explanations sound metric.

"Look there", I said, "the Pleiades abode,
Orion lives twenty degrees below,
If you decipher all this secret code,
Maybe we'll be together in his flow".

Describing the invisible, I could,
The shape, top and bottom and the zone,
But Popi thought of me already nude,
And making love to her all drunk and stone.
