The wind blows hard and my window rattles in protest
the pelting rain turns to sleet
announcing the approach of winters fury
The summer now seems a lifetime ago
the memories we made no longer so recent
getting blown away with the harsh winter wind
     STOP
I want the wind to stop,
'Get back here with my warm memories' I scream into the darkness
We ran out of time
we never had a chance
you cant take away the little I have left
Those few cherished moments
the first time I looked in his eyes
oh the way he made me feel
And now, as he did, the memories fly away silently in
the cold night air

'I want the wind to stop,

'Get back here with my warm memories' I scream into the darkness'

The wind always was insensitive.

The Loss

Speaks so hauntingly

of love lost

and your thoughts

so rapidly fleeting

Very strong

Lulls you gently and then hits you hard, just like a faded love and a sad memory
