from a distance she gazes across the way,
aching because someone is not there with her.
He makes her tremble with yearning for His touch,
yearning the sound of His voice.
He is her Friend & close confidante-
her spirit aches to share so much with Him.
Time and distance have not dulled what she feels;
it is a fire that still burns deep within her being.
maybe one day she will look across the way
and see Him looking right back.
maybe that won't ever happen.
whether or not it does happen,
He is Master of her heart,
in all ways. Forever.
